I got this book for free from PowerBar at the Chicago Marathon last fall. I expected it to be very biased towards their products, but it wasn't really. It had a lot of good information about diet and nutrition. Much of it was stuff that I'd already heard, but some was new too. Also, they had some solid answers to questionable items (like whether butter or margarine is better, etc.) It was an easy read, especially considering the subject.
Good to Great Good to Great by Jim Collins, 2001

My aunt sent me this book as a gift. Although it's not something I would have picked up on my own, I'm glad I read it. There were a lot of good ideas presented that could be applied to areas other than corporate performance.
Ultra Marathon Man Ultra Marathon Man by Dean Karnazes, 2005

An easy, quick and enjoyable read. Parts seemed cliche, but it wasn't too over the top. There were several details of the races themselves that were skipped over and that I wish weren't. They could have provided much more depth.
