August

I managed to finish August with 189.8 miles, my highest monthly total ever. The vast majority of it was slow, unimpressive miles, but I feel good about the steadily increasing volume, especially coming off such a poor June and July. I was stuck in the city the whole month with no vacations, but I took advantage of my time here to do a bunch of exploring. Out of curiosity, I decided to display all my runs from the month on the same map (thanks to Guadalupe) and it came out looking pretty cool, don't you think?

Way to go...I only managed 87 miles for the whole month of August, and I'm supposed to be training for NYC...I guess that's what an injury and general laziness will do to me.

Totally love that map. Looks like you drew a face in Queens, with and eye on Wards Island and its nose in Astoria. Time to explore Brooklyn more!

Awesome map! Right now, I don't wear my GPS unless I'm on an uncharted run, but the fact that you can map all of your runs for the month makes me think I am missing out!
